My artwork is designed without a preconceived pattern. The original photograph I take and have printed on fabric is the first step. Next step is using a unique, self-developed technique (paint pouring on fabric) which makes use of the intrinsic properties of my materials while creating an interesting interplay intuitively with the photo. The third step in the process is blending fabrics I have hand dyed with commercial fabrics then integrating them into cohesive shapes of color and shape creating a final art piece.
One more step is needed to complete the piece; using thread painting I add more elements of detail to the top of the art piece.
I like to use fabric to create original fine art pieces that engage the viewer from a distance, yet invite a closer look.
Commission Work:
I can create one of a kind commissioned pieces by working with an e-mailed photo from a client. My online shop features a selection of my available artwork. If you find an artwork in the portfolio that you’d like to purchase and don’t see it in the shop, please email me to make arrangements. A cash deposit of half of total amount is expected upon ordering.
